Happy mid-July from Roots & the City of Maplewood:

Maplewood is hosting the 7th Annual LET THEM EAT ART this Friday evening (7/13). Check out the city's website for lots of information about all the activities. Roots is hosting photographer Meg Kassabaum for the event. We've shared some of Meg's photos in the past, but this collection is part of her series of the Reclamation of the American South that we are sure you will want to see. 

We will have special hours on Friday--10am-10pm. We'll have light refreshments all day and wine (in the evening). Many sale items are marked down at least 50% and we are also offering 10% off all letters & signs, concrete & garden statuary. 

This is one of Maplewood's best events and Roots' very best show of art/photography ever! Hope you can make it out (it is supposed to be cooler!)

Maplewood is hopping again!

This Saturday (5/19) Maplewood hosts "The Taste of Maplewood" (noon-9pm), which takes place on Sutton @ Manchester.  To entice you to come on down our way-- (you will have to maneuver from Big Bend or from Greenwood--as Sutton @ Manchester will be closed off)--we are offering 20% off one item (a few exceptions apply).  We will be here from 10am-4pm and hope you will be here, too!

WOO-HOO---more fun at Roots & in Maplewood!

This Friday is the 3rd Annual Harp Attack from 6-9pm in Maplewood.  The local artists' group show "Together We Stand Alone" is next door @3100 Sutton.  Roots has added some wonderful new pieces for your home and garden.  All-in-all---a fun, creative and inspiring time to visit Roots and Maplewood.  We'll be here on Friday, 5/11, until 8pm (with light refreshments).

Roots will be open until 7pm tomorrow (5/5). A group show of local artists will be happening right next door, in the gallery space at 3100 Sutton. The artists featured include: Mitch Horstmann, Howard Jones, Doug Kassabaum, Belinda Lee, William Morris, Nancy Pierson, Thomas Sleet and Judith Thompson. This will be a fun, eclectic mix of wonderful art. Be sure to include us in your Cinco de Mayo celebration!

We are celebrating the 42nd Earth Day here at Roots by offering our customers 15% off one green (and that means the COLOR green) item, on Saturday, April 21. We have some wonderful recycled, reused and repurposed GREEN items for you to choose from. This is a great day to support small, local businesses!
